While we were a little dubious about the Patriot A6’s iPod Nano second-gen form factor as a clip-on player, we are in total agreement to the a5’s aesthetic sensibility. No more hook on the backside, just a nice white coat of paint and the Aigo branding. No disappearing screen though like the a6 but the [...]

Not sure if Newman intended the M-Touch for rugged environments but that’s what the impression it gives me. It runs on Windows CE 6.0, an OS that we haven’t seen in a while. Officially it has a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, 1.3 megapixel camera, plays AVI/ASF/MPG/3GP/MP4/FLV and MP3/WMA/ACC/WAV/OGG. With games, TXT and photo support. Photo indicates [...]

The M26 from Taipower is as anticipated as any Chinese PMP could be. Nice form factor, plays MP3, Wma, FLAC and APE file and Avi, FLV and RMVB and with TV out. Pretty good UI as well.
Hope this comes out soon at one of the online retailers that we know about at a very Chinesy [...]

Newman may have intended to design the cutest clip-on MP3 player. What they have for us instead - and they are not ashamed to admit - is a “UFO-shaped” design. The MOMO-Beetle is no ordinary odd-looking Chinese DAP, though. It plays music for 70 hours or more and has a stand-by time of 3 days, [...]

The Q18 from RAmos’ Mumu Music line of PMPs is thin (7.7mm) with very finished looks that you don’t usually see in Chinese PMPs. It also comes in bold colors that is very appealing to the eyes: black, red, white and baby blue. The dynamic Flash GUI we haven’t seen but the manufacturers thinks highly [...]

TMSON’s B300 is one of very few Chinese PMPs I’ve seen this year that is worth importing to the West. Features-wise, it’s just your basic PMP, but even China has neglected the two-inchers lately. The B300 comes in black and white in a minimalistic industrial design that reminds us of at least couple of iRiver [...]

Ever seen a square PMP? Ever expected one to be made? Me neither, but Aigo begs to differ as it introduces the square-ish Patriot E819 MP5 player. The 2.8-inch LTPS screen is supposed to have 4:4 aspect ratio, though h0nest to God it looks to me like 4:4. It’s one of the more heavy flash [...]

We don’t know exactly what Colorful Technology means by “gold-plated technology” but we take it that the DeLUX DLA-812A is a fashion PMP, a rarity in China as well as anywhere in the world. The shiny metal-casted front and touch buttons are very good indicators indeed that the DLA-812A is not for the bargain hunter. [...]

We’ve had doubters when we posted about RAmos’s latest wide- touchscreen PMP, the T8 PMP, may people thought it was just an altered iPod photo. The T8, though, is definitely real and RAmos may have started production already of this 4.3-inch player. Besides the rendered photo above, they have thrown in some initial specs as [...]

Besides the F13, Pasen has also released (virtually unnoticed) the Pasen F12 (see it here) and now has introduced another MP4/ PMP: the Pasen F11. The F11 is a more interesting player in terms of design. The tactile buttons are small and subtle, distributed unobtrusively along the bottom of the 2.8-inch 400 × 240-pixel screen. [...]

Have you always been wishing the iPod Shuffle can tune to FM radio? Well, I do and Aigo may have the right device for people who love random music while they are working out. The Patriot A6 is one stylish MP3 player, which, unlike, the Shuffle, is equipped with a screen and an FM tuner. [...]

RAmos may have done it again - astonish us with yet another iPod Touch-like device. The Blue Magic T8 PMP looks good with its 4.3-inch touch screen taking most of the front. It’s only 10mm thick - thin for a 4.3-inch player. We don’t know much yet about the T8 but expect an Fm [...]
